Make The Best Of Things...

2 days before my father passed away, his friend read him a bit of wisdom she had found on the cap of an iced tea bottle... For some reason he felt compelled to write the quote down on his computer, print it out in big bold letters and hang it up in the kitchen of the house we were all staying at... After his passing, the seemingly dull cliche took on a whole new meaning... What it said was this;

"Things turn out best for the people who make the best of the way things turn out..."

Over the last several weeks that saying has evolved many times over, for myself and my family, as we have begun to see his journey through life in retrospect and gain a greater understanding of the depth of wisdom shared by him and the rest of us all as human beings. Thanks dad, for having the foresight to prepare us in so many ways to forge ahead without your physical presence in our lives, and thanks for leaving us with the tools to truly make the best of our lives, no matter what challenges are presented to us... We love you Peter... And to all the riders out there, be safe, have fun, and most importantly be true to yourselves... PEACE...
